Clothes optional, absurdity required

I love the Banksy quote "Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable."

I think art is the greatest way to express yourself. I spend the majority of my day doing right brain software development/ system development and can feel creativity leaking out of my head. Art is the place where I can let my mind wander and explore these different worlds that exist inside my head.

There is no greater feeling than having a blank piece of paper and giving your creativity the freedom to wander down any path.

Ironically, so many look down on creativity as having no value, but wildly imaginative, rebellious, and out-of-the-box works of art hold as much value as entire businesses.

For example, Banksy was never revered as high society art and was doing street art frowned upon by businesses within the art world. He was just ahead of his time. Now his works fetch $10 - $20 million at auctions, and the irony of it all is that the value is derived from his irreverence for the traditional art market and steadfast devotion to his previously avant-garde craft.

Creativity will often be misunderstood until it is not, and you must never let that creative edge dull while the world catches up.
